About the CourseFood safety is the responsibility of every person in school nutrition programs. Every action has the potential to impact the safety of the food, whether during purchasing, storing, preparing, holding, serving, or cleaning. This comprehensive food safety training course provides guidance for school nutrition professionals to assure the preparation and service of safe food and how to manage a safe and sanitary school nutrition operation. Through a partnership with the ICN, MSNA is pleased to offer this free 8-hour training opportunity at both Burnsville High School and Fridley High School, each location holding the training in both English and Spanish. Classes will be held 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, including a one hour lunch break on your own. A minimum of 25 participants must be registered for each class - the maximum class size is 40 participants. Choose which date, location, and language works best for you! Non-members will have the opportunity to join the waitlist and will be notified within 2 days after the registration deadline if space is available to attend. CertificationThis course qualifies for SNA core course certification level 1. It is not eligible for CFPM licensing.
