The Leadership Development Committee (LDC), led by past MSNA President Carrie Frank, Carrie Frank Services and Formerly Dover-Eyota Schools; Kimberly Harren, Lakeville Area Schools; Andrea Schaak, Hopkins Public Schools; Deanna Cooley, Princeton Schools, and Jennifer Walters, Winona Area Public Schools, announces the 2023-2024 slate of officers for the 2024 election to be held between May 28 and June 10, 2023.

MSNA President-Elect / Annual Conference Update
|
Plans are ramping up for the Annual Conference on August 6-9 at the River's Edge Convention Center in St. Cloud, MN. Michele Hawkinson, who oversees the conference as MSNA President-Elect, tells us what we can expect for the 'great get-together.'

The legislative session this winter was a lively, record-setting one! The MN Free Meals legislation was signed into law on March 17 and will take effect on July 1. MSNA Public Policy Chair, and Sam Walseth, MSNA Lobbyist, cover what's been happening at the federal and state level.

Secretary/Treasurer's Update

Ross Larson, MSNA's Secretary and Treasurer, gives an update on MSNA's financials. MSNA is finishing up 2022 taxes and is planning the budget for the Annual Conference.

Many questions have been asked about two topics: MN Free School Meals and the Summer Schedule. John Jurichko, MSNA Industry Chair, provides insights on what your district should consider as SY23-24 approaches.
