MSNA 2024 Slate of Officers

The Leadership Development Committee (LDC), led by MSNA Past President Cheryl Pick, Foley Public Schools; Kimberly Harren, Lakeville Area Schools; Jennifer Walters, Winona Area Public Schools, Amy Kimmel, Spring Lake Park School District; and Jess Peña, Red Wing Schools, announces the 2024-2025 slate of officers for the 2024 election to be held between May 1 and May 15, 2024.

Spring is beginning to sprung, and along with that, MSNA's implementation of our strategic plan. Michele Hawkinson, MSNA President, discusses how MSNA has been demonstrating its strategic goals: Voice of School Nutrition, Stakeholder Community, Career and Development Growth, and Thriving Organization.

While the 2024 Minnesota legislative session is deep into the second half, a variety of activity has also been happening in Washington. Darcy Stueber, MSNA Public Policy Chair, and Sam Walseth, MSNA Lobbyist, cover what's been happening at the federal and state level.

Secretary/Treasurer's Update

It's tax season! Ross Larson, MSNA's Secretary and Treasurer, gives an update on MSNA's financials. MSNA is finishing up 2023 taxes and is looking towards the Annual Conference in August.
